The Willough: your right choice for change
Where
you start
The Willough blends the 12-step model of Alcoholics
Anonymous with other proven therapeutic techniques to help you begin your
journey through recovery. We focus on your physical, mental and spiritual
needs, asking for your honesty, open-mindedness and willingness as tools
to make the process work for you.
What will I do all day?
At the Willough , we show you how to live through
a day clean and sober and prepare you for continued sobriety. You'll spend
time learning how to make the most of your leisure time, learning relaxation
techniques, using creativity and personal reflection to enhance your recovery,
exercising, attending lectures and groups, and going to recovery meetings.
What is the Willough like?
The Willough at Naples is a 60-bed facility in
southwest Florida. It has a national reputation for the treatment of chemical
dependency.Self magazine has recognized the Willough as one of the top
10 treatment centers in the United States. Since its opening in 1983,
the Willough has helped hundreds of men and women by providing them quality
care though the expertise of a highly skilled staff.
For
the family
The Willough stresses that addiction and its
effects are not limited to the addict; they are part of a family dynamic.
Out of that belief, the Willough regularly offers family therapy, for
family members to understand the disease and recovery process better.
The Willough has a full-time family therapist on staff to help families
heal from what we believe to be a family disease.
What will I do when I leave the Willough?
Before you leave, the staff will work with you
to develop an aftercare plan that will help you maintain your recovery.
This includes continued participation in 12-step meetings, where you share
often and openly with people who understand your problem and are living
in the solution to it. You also may return to the Willough for one of
our relapse prevention weekends, during which you can take time for personal
relfection and receive concentrated therapy to boost your recovery and
keep you on the path to wellness.
